As affiliates of a short-staffed dog rescue group, we were super paranoid and more than a bit nervous about setting up a last-minute extended stay for one of our dogs with someone we didn't know, but Chris patiently answered all of our (excessively detailed!) questions. AND she came through on every aspect of dog care well beyond any of our expectations. Plus, we got frequent photos alongside funny and highly-entertaining email updates over the weeks our dog was in her care. All of this enabled us to breathe a big sigh of relief early on...

Twyla, one of our rescue dogs, is a very sweet girl but an exceedingly tough case -- she's the strong, silent type -- introverted, anxious, and not well socialized yet. And she has to be cajoled to try new situations under the best of circumstances. With Chris, she received almost constant companionship, long hikes in nature, access to an awesome yard -- so much concentrated one-on-one interaction. Frankly, Chris gave Twyla with more love than we ever imagined a sitter would provide -- and without us even asking for this level of attention or care. It's just who she is and how she does what she does. Twyla grew confidence-wise by leaps and bounds during her time with Chris. Which we had not anticipated, so we didn't even know to hope for such a positive development. This was the best situation we could have come up with for Twyla, so it's great that it was so easy and quick to set up this extended stay with Chris.

By the way, Chris did not even ask us to write a review, but we were so blown away by the quality of our experience with her, we wanted to get the word out. After combing through a number of profiles on Rover and Yelp, we know that a kind and committed sitter is so hard to find!

On our dog's first visit with Chris, Ally had some separation anxiety, so when we arrived with Ally for her 2nd stay with Chris, she had her walking shoes on and said she was going to walk her right away to try to dispel any separation anxiety Ally had - Which we thought was a very smart strategy on Chris' part! Ally did better and on the second and third visit, did even better. Ally is an energetic Aussie and loves the long walks Chris takes her on plus Chris also tosses balls and Frisbees to Ally and she really enjoys that.

Our dog had some separation anxiety on the first two visits but greeted Chris with an exuberant kiss when we dropped her off this last time! She is the person everyone goes to if a dog is sick. She seems to know what the problem is. When she takes care of my dog she always makes sure my dog gets her exercise and is constantly playing with her. She researches all food products to make sure that my dog is getting the right nutrition. She is awesome. Chris can dogsit anytime. I feel very comfortable leaving my dog with her.
